MUZAN KIBUTSUJI

Muzan Kibutsuji, the main antagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is the first and most powerful demon, the progenitor of all others. He often appears as a tall, elegant figure with a pale complexion, sharp features, and piercing red eyes, though he can shapeshift, sometimes appearing as a woman or altering his appearance to avoid detection. Cold, intelligent, and ruthlessly manipulative, Muzan is obsessed with immortality and views humans and demons alike as mere tools to achieve his goals. He possesses incredible strength, speed, regeneration, and the ability to create and control demons through his blood. His presence exudes both aristocratic charm and terrifying menace, making him a nearly unstoppable force whose ambition drives the central conflict of the series.

Kokushibo

Kokushibo (Michikatsu Tsugikuni) is a powerful antagonist in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and holds the title of Upper Moon One, serving as Muzan Kibutsuji’s most trusted lieutenant. Originally a human named Michikatsu Tsugikuni, he was a legendary swordsman from the era of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. In his quest for immortality, he transformed into a demon, combining his exceptional swordsmanship with demon powers and mastering the Moon Breathing techniques. Kokushibo possesses incredible speed, strength, and regenerative abilities, making him one of the strongest demons alive. Doma

Doma is one of the Upper Moon demons, holding the position of Upper Moon Two under Muzan Kibutsuji. He is calm, cheerful, and polite on the surface, but he is a ruthless killer who consumes humans without remorse. Doma possesses incredible speed, strength, and regenerative abilities, and he fights using his unique ice-cold Blood Demon Art, which creates deadly freezing attacks. Despite his cheerful demeanor, he is highly manipulative and enjoys spreading fear, making him a truly dangerous and cunning Upper Moon demon.

Akaza

Akaza is a powerful demon and holds the rank of Upper Moon Three under Muzan Kibutsuji. He is a skilled martial artist who values strength above all else and seeks worthy opponents to fight. Despite his violent nature, Akaza follows a strict personal code and shows respect to strong fighters. He possesses immense speed, strength, and regeneration, and uses his Destructive Death martial arts techniques combined with his Blood Demon Art to devastating effect. Akaza’s loyalty to Muzan and obsession with combat make him both a dangerous and tragic figure among the Upper Moon demons.

Hantengu

Hantengu is one of the Upper Moon demons, holding the position of Upper Moon Four under Muzan Kibutsuji. He is unique among demons because he can split his soul into multiple clones, each representing a different emotion such as fear, rage, or sorrow, and each clone possesses its own personality and abilities. Hantengu is highly unpredictable and extremely dangerous in combat due to his ability to attack from multiple angles simultaneously. Gyokko

Gyokko is an Upper Moon Five demon under Muzan Kibutsuji. He is obsessed with art and beauty, often viewing his victims as materials for his grotesque creations. Gyokko has a highly eccentric and artistic personality, combining creativity with sadistic cruelty. His Blood Demon Art allows him to manipulate and animate his pottery-based creations, turning them into deadly weapons. Gyutaro

Gyutaro is one of the Upper Moon Six demons and the older brother of Daki. He is vicious, bloodthirsty, and extremely skilled in combat, using his blood-based sickle weapons to strike with deadly precision. Gyutaro’s fighting style is brutal and relentless, and he possesses exceptional regeneration and resilience, making him very difficult to kill. Daki

Daki is one of the Upper Moon Six demons alongside her brother Gyutaro. She is known for her elegance and beauty, which hides her sadistic and deadly nature. Daki uses her obi sashes as lethal weapons, allowing her to slice and impale enemies with incredible precision. She is highly agile, cunning, and manipulative, often attacking from a distance or using her surroundings to her advantage. Despite her cruelty, she shares a deep bond with Gyutaro, and together their teamwork in combat makes them extremely dangerous and nearly impossible to defeat. Daki’s combination of grace, lethality, and twisted obsession with dominance makes her one of the most formidable demons in the Upper Moon hierarchy.

Kaigaku

Kaigaku is a former Demon Slayer turned demon under the command of Muzan Kibutsuji. Originally a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, he trained alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma and shared a complex rivalry with him. After succumbing to Muzan’s influence, Kaigaku became a demon and inherited the powers of Thunder Breathing. He is extremely fast, ruthless, and highly skilled in combat, using lightning-fast strikes to overwhelm his opponents. Kaigaku is ambitious, arrogant, and willing to betray anyone to achieve power, making him a dangerous adversary. Despite his cold-hearted nature, remnants of his human past occasionally surface, revealing the conflict within him.

Enmu

Enmu is a Lower Moon One demon serving under Muzan Kibutsuji during the Mugen Train arc. He is calm, polite, and deceptively charming, but hides a sadistic and manipulative nature. Enmu’s Blood Demon Art allows him to manipulate and control people’s dreams, putting them into deep slumber and feeding on their life force while they sleep. He is cunning, patient, and enjoys tormenting his victims psychologically before striking. Despite his polite demeanor, he is ruthless and loyal to Muzan, making him a dangerous demon capable of devastating both the body and mind.

Rui

Rui is a Lower Moon Five demon, part of the Twelve Kizuki under Muzan Kibutsuji. He has a calm and aloof demeanor but is extremely dangerous, obsessed with creating a “perfect family” of demons, often forcing his ideas onto others. Rui possesses incredible strength, speed, and regenerative abilities. His Blood Demon Art allows him to manipulate incredibly sharp and strong threads, which he uses to slice, trap, or impale his enemies with precision. Rui’s tragic past as a human contributes to his twisted sense of family and obsession with control, making him both a formidable and psychologically complex demon.

Mukago

Mukago is a demon allied with the Upper Moon Three, Akaza. She has a grotesque and terrifying appearance, often depicted as a small, parasitic-like demon that attaches to hosts or hides in the shadows to ambush opponents. Mukago is vicious and unpredictable in battle, using her agility and stealth to overwhelm her enemies. Though not as strong individually as the Upper Moon demons, her cunning, persistence, and ability to attack in swarms make her a dangerous subordinate. Yahaba And Susumaru

Yahaba & Susamaru: Yahaba and Susamaru are a deadly demon duo under Muzan Kibutsuji. Yahaba wields arrow-like projectiles controlled with his multiple eyes, giving him precise control over their direction. Susamaru uses massive, spiked temari balls, throwing them with incredible speed and strength. Together, they coordinate attacks flawlessly, combining Yahaba’s tactical control with Susamaru’s raw power, making them a dangerous and formidable pair for any demon slayer.
